The world test championship has come to an end and a winner has emerged - New Zealand! What a trophy to win and the way the kiwis went about it was professional! India cracked under pressure in the morning and once the fall of the wicket of Virat Kohli happened within the first 10 minutes of play on the reserve day all we could hope was a miracle for india to bat through the day. Tim Southee was exceptional with his line and length and the swing that he was able to create made it difficult for the batsman in the middle. The indian batting put up a mild resistance in the form of Rishab Pant who was holding fort for a while unlike his orthodox style of batting. He spent some time in the crease and was playing for time but in a sudden moment of concentration lapse he to succumbed to the pressure by skying a ball. The Indian bowling did not do any wonders as was expected, the fast bowlers were bowling either too short or to full and many of the deliveries were not pitched at the right places or the corridor on uncertainty as people would say. Ashwin on the other hand bowled a brilliant spell, he picked up both the wickets that fell for new zealand and at one point he had kane also out but it went the other way when review was taken by the new zealand skipper.
