Vissel Kobe continued their mixed start to the 2020 J1 season with a 2-1 loss at home to Vegalta Sendai. An own goal and a Shuhei Akasaki header put Sendai 2-0 up after 76-minutes before Kobe bundled home a bizarre own goal, which eventually bounced off of Sendai goalkeeper Jakub Slowik's head and over the goal-line.
