Ahoy footy fans! NRL Round 6 gets underway in the Capital as the Canberra Raiders host the North Queensland Cowboys in the first match of the round. Two teams desperate to square the ledger at 3-3 will meet in the nation’s capital to open Round 6 as the Canberra Raiders host the North Queensland Cowboys on Thursday night. It will be a welcome return to GIO Stadium for the Raiders, who have won both their contests at the venue this season and are looking to exact revenge on the Cowboys after already being comprehensively beaten by Todd Payten’s men in Townsville during Round 2. The Cowboys are coming off a heartbreaking golden point loss to the Warriors. They currently head the list of teams sitting at 2-3, with a win all but ensuring they remain in the eight for at least another week. Coen Hess will return at prop for the visitors with Reuben Cotter reverting to the bench. The Raiders have opted for the same starting lineup but will welcome Xavier Savage to the interchange with Matt Frawley dropping out.
