Micah Parsons and Dallas Cowboys defense dominates in win vs Washington Football team game reaction. Cowboys beat the Washington Football Team 27-20 at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland Week 14 of the NFL season, December 12, 2021. The Cowboys built an 18-0 lead after one quarter beacuse of the dominant play of their defense and the defensive rookie of the year, Micah Parsons, who is putting his name in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year. Only Lawrence Taylor has ever won DPOY as a rookie, so Parsons is already drawing comparisons to the NFL Hall-of-Famer. The Cowboys also had Randy Gregory back from injury after missing the previous 3 weeks and Neville Gallimore returned after missing the entire season with a dislocated elbow. Dallas Cowboys are geting nearly full healthy on defense and it's showing behind Dan Quinn's incredibly improved defensive unit. However, the Cowboys offense continues to sputter. Tony Pollard was inactive due to a foot injury and Dak Prescott has been struggling mightily since his injured calf. Dak and the Cowboys offense was playing at an elite level, but since missing a game with the calf injury Dak has looked anything but an MVP. There's still 4 games left in the regular season for the Cowboys and Dak Prescott to get their offense on track. The Cowboys finish the season with a game against the Giants, WFT, Cardinals and then Philadelphia Eagles to close out the regular season. Dallas is in firm control of the NFC East, but for the Cowboys to get back to an NFC Title and beyond, something they haven't done in 25 years, they're going to need Dak to get back to playing at an MVP-type level.
