From Stoke to Santiago via Blackburn | Ben Brereton-Diaz Football's Real Stories | LO72

The story of Ben Brereton-Diaz is one for the ages. Born in Stoke-on-Trent & coming through the youth ranks at Nottingham Forest to make his league debut in the EFL. Ben Brereton's career looked to have hit a stand still shortly after a big money move to Blackburn Rovers at the age of 18. After a difficult time trying to discover his best form after being played out of position & injury problems, things finally began to click for the Blackburn forward & thanks to players of the Football Manager game who discovered he was half Chilean & began an online campaign to get him called up to the Chilean national team. A hot-streak of form in the EFL Championship saw him earn a call-up & he has represented the country a total of nine times, scoring three goals & played in the Copa America with his new International teammates like Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal & Claudio Bravo.
