Kyle Freeland is that ultimate competitor. His season is starting nearly two months later than he had planned. But he has recovered from the muscle strain he suffered during spring training, made two starts at Triple-A Colorado Springs and pitching coach Steve Foster in anxious to see the matchup he faces against the Mets.
