Coach Sampson also gives a public apology to Tulane's coaches, fans and players for Houston's dunk (by freshman big man Ja'Vier Francis) with 0.8 seconds remaining. The game was already in hand. Coach Sampson says the dunk was not necessary. Coach Sampson discusses Kyler Edwards' solid shooting performance (7/14 fgs -- 4/10 threes). Edwards was in a shooting slump the previous 6 games. Edwards scored a team-high 21 points tonight. Taze Moore scored 18 points also on 7/14 fgs. Houston shot 50.8 fg% (31 for 61) in the game including 62.1 fg% (18 for 29) in the second half. Houston is now 23-2 overall and 12-2 in the American Athletic Conference.
