They just needed to beat four teams below them in the league standings, including cellar-dwellers Maryland and Nebraska. Now, after dropping three of those four games, Chris Holtmann's team enters the conference tournament as the sixth seed, and facing an uphill climb in both the Big Ten and NCAA tournaments.
