Eli White came up huge to save the Texas Rangers from being no-hit by the New York Yankees twice in two seasons. Nestor Cortez dominated the Rangers but wasn't able to finish off the no-no. Jon Gray pitched well in his second start back from his second IL stint but had to leave the game early with a knee injury scare. Brock Burke came in to relieve him and pitched a fantastic outing and kept the Yankees off the board in a crucial stretch of the game. Brett Martin wasn't able to keep the Yankees off the board completely, but the Rangers' pitching staff limited the hottest team in baseball to just five runs in three games.
