The Invitational T20 Cricket Tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Cricket is currently being held at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy with a large number of new players.Eight matches have already been played in this tournament which is being held with the participation of four teams namely Reds, Greens, Blues and Greys.There will be four more matches in the preliminary round before the final.The SLC Greys, led by Dasun Shanaka, who have won all four of their matches so far, are currently leading the bonus points table. Throughout the tournament, newcomers as well as experienced players were seen excelling with the bat and the ball.This tournament will undoubtedly help in selecting players for the Sri Lanka squad for the forthcoming T20 World Cup as well as the remaining gaps in the upcoming South African Series.
