Alvas Powell leaves Portland Timbers

24 year old Jamaican international Alvas Powell has been signed by Major League Soccer’s newest franchise FC Cincinnati ahead of the 2019 season. The defender was signed for US $250,000 and it ends his six year spell with the Portland Timbers. With the Timbers, he played 115 games and scored five goals. He was also part of the team that won the MLS Cup in 2015. Powell will join fellow countryman Darren Mattocks at the Ohio-based club.
