November 30th, 2007 – The Teddy Bear Toss has become an annual holiday tradition with teams in the Canadian Hockey League and the Lethbridge Hurricanes are no different. The 12th Annual Canadian Tire Teddy Bear Toss was a record-setting night for Lethbridge. A packed house of 5,202 fans launched 21,905 stuffed animals onto the ENMAX Centre ice when Colton Sceviour scored 2:24 into the first period, setting a new world record; the Hurricanes went on to win the hockey game 8-2 over the Saskatoon Blades. The record was short-lived, however, as the Calgary Hitmen broke the record two days later.
