The Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the UNLV Runnin' Rebels by a final score of 86-74, in the consolation bracket of the Maui Jim Invitational. The Rebels and Caleb Grill shot the 3 ball very well early and led by 7 during the first half. However, the Tide cut that lead and the score was tied at halftime at 38. During the second half, UNLV simply ran out of gas. T.J. Otzelberger only played 8 players and 4 of 5 starters played over 32 minutes. Alabama came out of halftime strong and put away the Rebels.
