FC United 11-0 Curzon Ashton. 23 April 2017

The last home game of the season brought Curzon back to FC and the 11-0 scoreline was the same as the last time up at Broadhurst fields in United's fourth ever game. Jade Parker got the initial goal with a header from a Beth Tattersall cross to help settle down the Reds. It would be 20 minutes before the next strike, and what a goal it was as Chloe Wild unleashed another monster to beat the keeper from 25 yards. Jess Battle made it 3-0 just over a minute later running on from a pin-point pass from captain Kirsty Chambers, to knock it past the Ashton stopper. Tattersall then got on the scoresheet blasting in off the post after a neat one-two with Battle. Wild then benefitted from a one-two with Parker to give it a 5-0 look at half time. Soon after the restart, Battle chipped over the on-rushing Curzon keeper to make it six and just after Parker outdid her with smooth footwork on the edge of the area and a blast in off the post for 7-0. Wild then got her first FC hat-trick with a great solo effort and super striker, with Battle then getting her fifth hat-trick after a bit of two and fro in the box and a quick turn to slam home. Sub Shellby Wolstencroft got the final two in a 64 seconds, after missing a potential triple previously, with a cool side foot and a trademark dept lob over the goalie.
