The shot-stopper was involved in an accidental collision with teammate Conor Coady towards the end of the 90 minutes, with Coady's knee connecting with Patricio's head as both players attempted to stop a Mohamed Salah chance. Patricio was left prone on the floor as he received lengthy treatment, being given oxygen and being placed in a neck brace as the game was stopped for around 13 minutes.
