Lakers at Bucks 113-106 Review | The Unnamed Sports Show

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Milwaukee Bucks were coming off loses in this clash of titans Thursday night. Thanks to a season high 34 points by Lebron James the Lakers were able to move to 12-4 on the season. Giannis Antetokounmpo lead the way for the Bucks with 25 points but was plagued with foul trouble and turnovers all night. The Bucks lose their second consecutive game for the first time this year and fall to 9-6 on the year. Anthony Davis had 18 points 9 rebounds and 6 assists while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was on fire from beyond the arc with 7, count em 7 threes for 23 points. LA moves to 12-4 for the season and 8-0 on the road. They take on the Chicago Bulls Saturday. The Bucks saw good games from Jrue Holiday with 23 points and 7 assists and Kris Middleton with 22 points and also 7 assists. They just couldn’t stop the Lakers offensive fire power. They were scheduled to play the Wizards Friday night but the game has been postponed so they will play the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. A sign of things to come for the whole game. Giannis was able to nail a straight away 3 to give the Bucks a 2-point lead before A.D. came right back down low for the Lakers. Donte DiVincenzo would get a steal for Milwaukee and find Jrue Holiday for the big 3 before an early Laker Time out. With the Bucs up 19-13 Lebron James would hit one of his many shots to cut the lead back down to 3 with 6:20 to go in the first quarter. LBJ would soon check out which meant it was time for Anthony Davis to go to work. Lebron James would assert his dominance once again after the Bucks brought the lead back to 6. A deep 3 followed by another deep 3 and the game was exciting as anyone had hoped. After a layup for the Bucks Lebron would hit his 8th straight point for LA and they were down 41-37 as the Bucks took a timeout with 8 minutes left in the half. After Montrezl Harrel would cut the lead to 2, A.D would tie it up at 41 with his 5th FG on a nice fadeaway. Brook Lopez would respond for the Bucks with a big 3 and then bring it back to 5 after a turnover by the Lakers. It was 46-41 as things would resume and already in foul trouble Giannis was called for the charge and the flagrant foul on Harrell. K.C.P. was on fire all game from beyond the arc and late in the half he was able to give the Lakers the lead. Just to add insult to injury he would nail the buzzer beater at the half to make it 63-57. 3rd Quarter – (63-57 Lakers) The Lakers would keep adding to their lead in the second half, KCP hit another 3 before Lebron would push things to 12 with a big 3 of his own. The Bucks wouldn’t go away as Middleton was able to dish it through the legs of Lebron and find Holiday for the easy flush. Holiday would score again to cut it to 69-63. Davis would get sent to the line on an and one but miss the foul shot before Divincenzo would cut things back down to 3 from beyond the arc. The lead was just 70-67 for the Lakers. Cue up KCP for LA as Marc Gasol would get the LeBron miss and kick it out. KCP would come back with another 3 and after a bucs 3. Lebron scored his 22 point of the night on a layup to make it 78-70 with 5:23 to go in the 3rd quarter. Middleton was great for the Bucks and put up a floater for 2 of his 20 points. The Lakers were up 78-76 but would go on a but of a run thanks to Dennis Schroder and A.D. not to be out done Holiday would hit a nice step back 3 and the 3rd quarter would end with the Lakers up 86-81. 4th Quarter – Giannis would try his best to put the Bucks on his back scoring his 17th points early but a Lebron fade away would bring it back to 88-83. At 10:42 Lebron would hit his 5th triple of the game and the lead was back up to 8. Giannis would look to drive again but was called for the offensive foul and his 4th of the game. Things would go back and forth as the Lakers pushed the lead to 91-83. With just 9:45 the Bucks were running out of time. Kuzma and Holiday would trade buckets before Morris would nail a 3 and stretch the lead to 11. The Bucks just couldn’t stop the lakers as their rotation was slow all game.
