The Silkmen bowed out of the Carabao Cup last night, as we suffered a penalty shoot-out defeat at the hands of Grimsby Town. After a keenly-contested encounter, both defences remained intact and this forced the penalty competition which ultimately saw The Mariners progress courtesy of a 5 - 4 victory.
