The Rockford IceHogs and Texas Stars faced off in game 1 of their first round playoff series tonight. The IceHogs took the game 2-1 after a fantastic effort up and down the lineup. The Chicago Blackhawks prospects came to play! Lukas Reichel scored the first goal of the game. Isaak Phillips took the shot that led to Carson Gicewicz's deflection goal. Arvid Söderblom was solid in net. Ian Mitchell returned from injury to put in a solid defensive effort. It was a great first game. Now, we must look ahead to game 2 on Friday night at the BMO.
