Welcome in 49ers Faithful! Coming off a disappointing outing against Seattle all eyes were on San Francisco heading into Seattle. Things started off slow for the 49ers but they were granted a bit of luck with multiple failures from Cincinnati special teams. The Bengals had two turnovers and muffed punt early that was converted into San Francisco points. Surprisingly Deebo Samuel was able to suit up in this game despite being limited with a groin injury all week. Samuel only caught one reception in the game but worked out of the 49er backfield converting one carry into a 27-yard rushing touchdown. George Kittle was a massive focal point for San Francisco as he extended the 49ers lead with a 14-yard touchdown from Jimmy Garoppolo prior to halftime. The Bengals would only kick to field goals and entered the half trailing 17-6. The second half of the game is where Cincinnati shinned. Joe Burrow found rookie wide receiver Jamar Chase twice on touchdowns of 17 and 32 yards, respectively. Chase bullied fellow rookies Talanoa Hufanga and Ambry Thomas one two spectacular catches. Garoppolo would have an opportunity late to lead San Francisco on a game winning drive. Prior to regulation the 49ers drove 50 yards, narrowly avoiding disaster on a Jessie Bates almost pick-6. Unfortunately for the 49ers, kicker Robbie Gould did not live up to his name or contract and missed a 47 yard attempt. In overtime Cincinnati would get the ball first and drove deep into 49ers territory. In perhaps his most important play of the season, Nick Bosa sacked Burrow on 3rd and 3 from the San Francisco 23 yard line. Evan McPherson would nail his kick to give the Bengals their first lead of the day in regulation. Garoppolo would come up clutch in his lone overtime opportunity. Garoppolo completed 6-6 passed for 77 yards and hit the game winner to Brandin Aiyuk. San Francisco would win the game 26-23. #49ers #FTTB #GeorgeKittle Recorded: Sunday, December 12, 2021 Host: Julian "Ju-Ju" Martinez (ig: @jujutalkssports) Jose Corral (ig: @corral808s) Social Media: Instagram: @49reasons2Listen Twitter: @49R2L
