The Tigers have now won 17 straight in the Liberty Bowl. Senior LB JJ Russell led the Tigers' defense with 14 total tackles, 10 solo tackles, 1 tackle for loss and 1 forced fumble. Freshman RB Brandon Thomas carried the ball 16 times for 83 yards. Senior WR Calvin Austin III caught 9 balls for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns.
