FC Goa, after a narrow sudden death tiebreaker, knocked out Bengaluru FC (BFC) to make way for the 130th Durand Cup final. The game ended in a 2-2 draw after extra time. The Gaurs defeated the Blues by 7-6 goals in the penalty shootout at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, a. k. a. Salt Lake Stadium. In the first half, Bengaluru FC became charged up and within 1 minute, N. Sivasakthi scored a goal. In the 8th minute, Devendra Murgaokar scored an equalizer. In the second half, both the teams were charged up and within 72 minutes, Redeem Tlang took a lead for FC Goa. But in the 83rd minute, N. Sivasakthi gave an equalizer, ending the match in a penalty shootout. During the shootouts, out of five attempts by each team, one goal was saved until Goa goalkeeper Naveen Kumar stopped Damaitphang Lyngdoh's shot, and FC Goa's midfielder Christy Davis made it to 7-6 goals. After a dramatic second semifinal, Edu Bedia bagged the Man of the Match Award. FC Goa will be facing Mohammedan Sporting Club in the 130th Durand Cup Final on 3rd October.
