This was the 2nd of the Lakers' away n home against the Suns with Magic DNP in both (sore Achilles). Lakers were already up far in the West Conf and the Suns weren't playoff contenders that year and they figured they could load manage Earvin a few games. This game was also discussed in the 87 Lakers champ video because on 2 nights, Kareem hit his only career 3 at PHX and then stole the ball and took it down for a dunk a night later.
