इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग यानी आइपीएल के 14वें सीजन का आगाज आज यानी शुक्रवार 9 अप्रैल से हो गया है. आइपीएल के नए सीजन के पहले मैच में मौजूदा आइपीएल चैंपियन मुंबई इंडियंस के सामने रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर है. इस मुकाबले में बैंगलोर की टीम के कप्तान विराट कोहली ने टॉस जीतकर गेंदबाजी करने का फैसला किया और पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए मुंबई की टीम ने 20 ओवर में 9 विकेट खोकर 159 रन बनाए. मुंबई के खिलाफ पारी की शुरुआत करने विराट कोहली के साथ वॉशिंग्टन सुंदर मैदान पर उतरे. देवदत्त पडीक्कल अस्वस्थ होने की वजह से आज का मैच नहीं खेल रहे हैं. क्रुणाल पांड्या ने सुंदर को 10 रन पर आउट कर टीम को पहला सफलता दिलाई. पहला मैच खेलने उतरे रजत पाटिदार को ट्रेंट बोल्ट ने 8 रन पर बोल्ड कर वापस भेजा.
