In this episode, Chris Dailey, founder of The Sports Court interviews Anthony Pulis, assistant coach at Inter Miami CF. Born in England, Pulis is the son of famous English head coach, Tony Pulis. Anthony played for many big clubs in his professional career such as Portsmouth, Stoke City, Southampton, and to finish off his professional career, Orlando City SC back when they were competing in the USL Championship (note this is the first team side not the second team side). After retiring from professional soccer, Pulis has since taken after his father and began a coaching career starting with coaching Orlando City SC B in the USL. A task that not many people know how hard it is, Pulis talks about what it's like coaching the reserve side of an MLS team. Two years with Orland City SC B (as a coach) went by and Pulis made the tough decision to go to St. Louis FC. At St. Louis, Pulis and the team saw major success, showing why St. Louis is a soccer city and it was good enough to earn the city of St. Louis and MLS expansion side that is set to take play in a few years. Recently, Pulis joined David Beckham's MLS side, Inter Miami CF and is an assistant coach for one of the most hyped up MLS clubd (if not the most hype up club) of all-time and the club is currently being linked to signing stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, and Luis Suarez. In a great interview, Pulis talks about his struggles with injuries during his playing career and what it takes to become a professional soccer coach. A truly must-watch interview! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE SPORTS COURT LINKS BLOG: www.thesportscourtblog.com INSTAGRAM: www.instagram.com/the.sportscourt TWITTER: www.twitter.com/TSC2020 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Atlanta United FC, The Sports Court, The Sports Court interviews Anthony Pulis, Chicago Fire, Colorado Rapids, Columbus Crew SC, National Premier Soccer League, NPSL, how to start a sports team, Dennis Crowley Interview, Interview with Dennis Crowley, how to start a semi-professional soccer team, Major League Soccer, D.C.
