Olympic champions and medalists back in action at Prefontaine Classic in Oregon. The meet will be held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, on Friday, August 20, and Saturday, August 21, with the Diamond League events taking place on Saturday afternoon. Here are some things to look out for at the meet. All three Tokyo 2020 women's 100m medalists will compete this Saturday (21 August) as global athletics action resumes after the successful Olympic meet with the commencement of the Diamond League season. Elaine Thompson-Herah, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, and Shericka Jackson of Jamaica are all set to compete in the 100m at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon, USA – and many other Tokyo medalists and champions will be competing in other events as well. Sha'Carri Richardson, a top American sprinter, will also compete in the 100m and 200m. They are joined by Briana Williams, the fourth member of Jamaica's gold-winning sprint relay team, American sprint relay silver medalists Teahna Daniels and Javianne Oliver, and Marie-Josée Ta Lou of Côte d'Ivoire and Mujinga Kambundji, who finished fourth and sixth in the 100m in Japan, respectively.
