The golden generation of Belgium is winding down and now is the time. Their last World Cup with the whole band together, Belgium has to do something or its window will be closed on World Cup glory for the foreseeable future. The Beglians have a few good players coming through, but nothing to replace the likes of a prime Kevin De Bruyne or prime Romelu Lukaku, even an out-of-form Eden Hazard. They came within two games last time, this has to be the one. Strangely, it feels like Belgium is already being overlooked. They were the dark horse the last two World Cup cycles but now their time has, allegedly, already passed. The World Cup brings those older players out of the woodwork for one last hurrah, and for Belgium, they need that along their defensive line. While their front line is in its prime, the back line is on old legs and rickety knees.
