On the game and squeaking out a win against a hungry Pacers squad, Smart said “We weathered their storm. And that’s what it’s all about, especially going into the playoffs, to be able to experience that now and get us ready.” On Boston trying to find that defensive intensity and rhythm they had for so long, Smart said "We know it, we see it. I think for us it's just, we can't focus too much on that...We're gonna fix those things." On Grant Williams and Ime Udoka's fake fight on April Fool's day, Marcus Smart joked that he wanted Ime to beat Grant up. "Definitely!" Smart laughed, "I called them two walruses going at it.
