India Women delivered a commanding performance to defeat Sri Lanka Women by 147 runs and clinch a historic gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games. Batting first, India set a formidable total of 216/3 in their 20 overs, driven by Smriti Mandhana’s brilliant 79, a quick 48 from Shafali Verma, and Richa Ghosh’s explosive 49 not out off just 22 deliveries. Sri Lanka struggled in response against a clinical Indian spin attack and were bowled out for 69 runs in 15.4 overs, with Deepti Sharma taking 3/6 alongside two wickets apiece for Shafali Verma, Shreyanka Patil, and Shree Charani. This emphatic win capped a remarkable run, marking India's second major title over Sri Lanka in just nine days. #INDWvsSLW #IndiavsSriLanka #India #SriLanka #AsianGames2026 #AichiNagoya2026 #BaarBaarBharatHarBaarBharat #IndianCricket #IndianWomenCricket #AichiNagoya2026AsianGames #IndianCricketAsianGames #cricket #crickethighlights #crickethighlightsonSonySportsNetwork #SonySportsNetwork For all updates from the world of sport, be social with us at: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SonySportsNetwork Twitter: https://twitter.com/SonySportsNetwk Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sonysportsnetwork/
