The 8th-ranked Georgetown Hoyas defeated the 2nd-ranked Connecticut Huskies 74-63 at the XL Center in Hartford, CT. Georgetown jumped out to a 15-1 lead as Greg Monroe electrified the Hoya offense with passing and shooting. UConn slowly chipped away at the lead throughout the rest of the first half and the start of the second, eventually getting to within 3 points several times until the 12:30 mark. From there, Georgetown used a 26-12 run to put the game away. DaJuan Summers led the Hoyas with 18 pts, and Monroe (16 pt), Chris Wright (16 pt) and Austin Freeman (14 pt) also reached double figure scoring. A.J. Price (16 pt), Jeff Adrian (15 pt) and freshman Kemba Walker (14 pt) paced the Huskies. Notes: - ESPN edited out a few minutes of game time from each half for the replay. - The last second of the game has gone missing. I don't think anything exciting is missed. - I've up-scaled this from a mediocre recording.
