The Los Angeles Angels and the Seattle Mariners played a very important game today, for one of the teams. Tonight's Starting Pitchers Chris Flexen (SEA) 5.1 IP - 6 H - 1 R - 1 ER - 1 BB - 1 SO - 1 HR Jhonathan Diaz (LAA) 4.1 IP - 6 H - 3 R - 3 ER - 2 BB - 3 SO - HR 1st and 2nd Inning - Neither Team gets a run in, so lets just skip ahead. 3rd Inning - Ty France of the Mariners hits a double, then Mitch Haniger hits a single to the right field to bring him home. The Angels have no retaliation at this time. 4th Inning - Both teams take a break, so down to the 5th we go. 5th Inning - Jose Rojas of the Angels hits a solo home run to tie the game up, but Mitch Haniger did not like this. He also hits a solo home run to put the Mariners back in the lead. 6th and 7th Inning - Both teams do not feel like scoring any runs. 8th Inning - The Angels decide to try and crush some dreams. Brandon Marsh draws the walk, the Shohei Ohtani draws a walk, and Jared Walsh homers to right center field to bring the Angels back in the lead. This doesn't last long, as the Angels bring in reliever Steve Cishek. He hits Jarred Kelenic with a pitch, then walks Jake Bauers. Jake Fraley is then going to do a nice sacrifice bunt to advance the runners. J.P. Crawford is then intenionally walked, Ty France is forced into a ground out, then Mitch Haniger singles to the left field to bring home Bauers and Crawford.
