Round 25 clash between Sydney FC and Adelaide United in the Australian A league. This was an important game for working out final placements on the ladder from second through to six coming into the final series. Coming into the game both Adelaide and Sydney were a chance of finishing second still. Sydney very much controlled the game and deservedly came out winners 4-1. Adam Lefondre scored a double, Bobo and Patrick Wood also got goals. Adelaide United scored a late goal through substitute Yaya Dukuly. Jordan Elsey received a red card (2 yellows) - which means if Adelaide happen to drop out of the top six it may have been his last game in the a league. This is also the last match for Sydney FC backline players Rhyan Grant, Ryan McGowan and Andrew Redmayne who will be going to play World Cup qualifiers for the socceroos (causing them to miss the final week of the competition and Final series).
