Last Look Joe Burrow and Cincinnati Bengals Dominate The Detroit Lions

Many hoped when the Cincinnati Bengals drafted Ja'Marr Chase in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft the talented wide receiver and quarterback Joe Burrow would find the magic that led them to a national championship. Sunday, Burrow, Chase, Joe Mixon, and the Bengals defense dominated the Detroit Lions 34-11 at Ford Field. Burrow would throw for three touchdowns and 271 yards while Chase would pull down four balls for 97 yards and Mixon would total 153 all-purpose yards that included a receiving touchdown that Chase would show he's not just a pass catcher as he sprinted down the field to make a key block to allow Mixon to score. While it would be easy to focus on the offensive output, the Bengals' defense again played well giving up 36 rushing yards and 192 passing yards while shutting down the Lions' offense until the fourth quarter. Logan Wilson would add another interception to his team-leading total and the Bengals were able to rest their starters late in the game as they get ready for a major battle against the Baltimore Ravens. In this episode of In The Trenches with Dave Lapham presented by First Star Logistics, Lap takes one final look at the Bengals dominating win to move to 4-2 on the season.
