NBA Free Agency has been non-stop since it began at 6p ET & Jimmy Butler and Al Horford will have new teams in 2019. Jimmy Butler will join the Miami Heat as part of a sign-and-trade between the Heat & the 76ers. Butler agreed to a 4-yr, $142 MM max contract with Miami. The 76ers will receive Josh Richardson & more assets that are TBD. Jimmy Butler led the 76ers to the NBA playoffs in 2019, but will be the go-to player on the Heat in 2019. Butler averaged 18.7 PPG, 5.3 RPG & 4.0 APG last season. Al Horford will sign a 4-yr, $109 MM contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. He declined a $30.1 MM option with the Boston Celtics & was expected to re-sign with Boston, but those plans fell through & he decided to pursue other options for the 2019 NBA season. Horford will join Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris & Joel Embiid in Philly to form a strong young core that could make some noise in the Eastern Conference. Like this video?
