Oregon a Defensive Team Without Herbert Without starting QB Justin Herbert Oregons offense has struggled to move the ball converting only twice on nine drives. On the other side, the Oregon defense has done a great job all around on stopping Luke Falk. Wazzu has found a few gaps running the ball but mostly been shut down with a total of 44 rushing yards. Oregons DLine is continuing their hot streak with 3 sacks on Luke Falk at halftime. Despite a few long pass plays, Oregons secondary has played really well, including to pass breakup to force Washington States 52 yard field goal. Penalties Still a Problem Oregon has 6 penalties for 40 yards so far tonight. 5 of the infractions have come from on false starts committed by 4 different players. The other penalty was a rushing the passer giving the Cougs a first down. Oregon needs to stop making the mental errors, especially as the offense has not been converting on 3rd long.
