Dominik Kubalik finally scored at 5 on 5, after an excellent play by Brandon Hagel to force a turnover resulting in a tap in goal for Kubalik his 4th of the year. The Red Wings, who dominated most of the game, would send the game to overtime however after netting goals from Vladislov Namestnikov and Christian Djoos. However the Hawks were not to be denied as Pius Suter set up Dominik Kubalik for the GWG on a 2 on 1 in the dying seconds overtime. Nicolas B Beaudin picked up the secondary assist.
