The Western Wolves are a medieval combat group based in Ballarat, Australia. We are an up and coming HMB (Historical Medieval Battle) team. We compete in full contact steel fighting using blunted steel weaponry and participate in various types of fights including; Buhurt (team fights), pro fighting (1 v 1 fights), weapon specific duelling, and All V All fights (royal rumble). We train weekly and run sessions for HMB and HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) at Kryal Castle. We host monthly demonstration fights at Kryal, participate in local tournaments such as the Goldfields Medieval Faire (March) as well as Timeline Festival (October). Our team also fight interstate and around the world and we are attending Battle of the Nations for the first time this year in Serbia. Our fighters will be representing Australia in the 12 v 12 and 150 v 150 battles as well as the sword and buckler pro fights.
