Apologies for any poor sound quality. Local cardiologist and sports enthusiast Gerald Clesham was my summariser, with the commentary streamed live via MixLR across the evening. An incredible game to commentate between two promotion rivals with eventful off-field situations to say the least. Of all the 33 football matches I've commentated on this season across Bundesliga, Premier League etc, this was, without doubt, the most emotionally charged. This week Dulwich were evicted from their home ground by property developers, and both teams were desperately seeking to get their promotion campaigns back on track. On the pitch Billericay deservedly lead earlier through captain Dean Inman's header, but a brace from Dipo Akinyi either side of half-time put Dulwich ahead. A stoppage-time goal from Nyren Clunis sealed victory to the delight of the travelling fans after a dramatic game that had it all, even 17 minutes of stoppage time! Dulwich go one point above Billericay at the top having played four games more, but this game, and the victory for Hamlet was about so much more than football really.
