Because Kawhi Leonard turned 30 on June 29, his is the 20th "Elite" Basketball profile, the 120th profile on my 2021 playlist, and his profile is the 11th "G.O.A.T." profile on my 2021 playlist, (second Basketball "G.O.A.T." profile of 2021). In this episode, I break down the hype and the numbers as I decipher what makes Kawhi Leonard one of the greatest two-way wings to ever play in the history of the NBA and one of basketball's most valuable players today, even at 30. I used the College and Pro Basketball-Reference databases to research his stats and accomplishments as an elite professional baseball player. I additionally used Wikipedia to cite his past team accomplishments with the San Diego State basketball program, along with his San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, and Los Angeles Clippers squads I have only recorded the accomplishments he has achieved to this date, and I have logged this most recent season because the 2020/21 NBA season is complete as of June 29, 2021. My intent with the profiles is to provide my justification for referring to these particular athletes as not only great, but athletes that are performing at an "elite" level within their own sport.
