"I just had to keep my composure, but it was a great feeling knowing I was starting."   On what it was like going through a shortened week of preparation knowing he was the starter... "Just getting my mind right and making sure I'm focused on everything we're going over, [as well as] making sure that I'm studying it at night because it's a shorter week so you've got to learn it faster."   On the defense helping out with three scores... "They had an amazing performance tonight."   On watching the defense... "Joe Jackson's one was probably my favorite touchdown from the defense tonight because he always said how he could play tight end and how he wants the ball. And he showed his feet tonight. It was very fun watching him."   On if he is proud of how he is handling everything and of how he is playing... "Yeah, I'm very proud. I'm proud of the team, proud of the offensive line, the defense, everybody. The whole team, they showed up."   On what QB Malik Rosier has been able to do for him this week... "I'm not surprised of the way Malik's been acting. He's always been that type of leader, to help me or any of the other quarterbacks. So, whoever was the starter, I'm sure he would've been as helpful as he is right now and as he was before when he was the starter."   On how he would evaluate his play tonight... "It was good, but it can always be better. [There is] always room for improvement."   On having Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas at running back... "They help with my confidence, I'm sure, because I know they can block, I know they can run the ball and when you have a good running game, that just opens up the passing game. It slows down the rush a little bit because they never know what's coming at them."   On how Coach Richt gave him the news he was the starter... "It was just in practice. We actually had a walk-through that day and he told the whole team that I was starting, but throughout the week we really weren't sure who it was going to be.”   On his first thoughts when he was told he was starting... "It wasn't nothing serious. I was cool. I was ready for it because I felt like [there] was a chance I could've been the starter, so I was preparing for that all week."
