Washington Football Team @ Dallas Cowboys Week 16 Preview! NFC Playoff Race + Injuries + Prediction

The Washington Football Team, riddled by COVID, fell to the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday Night Football by a score of 27-17. They are now 6-8 behind the aforementioned Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints, all of whom are now 7-7 on the season with 3 weeks left to play. This episode is all about the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. We begin by discussing the injury report. The big loss here is Cole Holcomb testing positive for COVID. By the numbers, he's a top 12 LB in the NFL and the QB of our defense. He will be sorely missed, but it does give Jamin Davis a golden opportunity to step up and have a big game. Other injuries include S/LB Landon Collins, RB Antonio Gibson, CB William Jackson III and DE Daniel Wise. Returning for the team are QBs Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen, LBs David Mayo and Milo Eifler, TE Temmarick Hemingway, S Kamren Curl, and CB Kendall Fuller (news broke Friday morning after this recording of Curl, Fuller, Eifler and Allen all returning). The Cowboys, meanwhile, are quite healthy, potentially missing only OT Tyron Smith. On the offensive side of the ball, it will be AWESOME to have QB1 aka Taylor Heinicke back starting for us. What can we expect? KDot preaches that we must go back to what got us that winning streak and run the ball in order to have success. Amit agrees, but also thinks this could be a big game for Taylor Heinicke. Most importantly, we have to limit turnovers. The Cowboys have generated 12 turnovers in their last 3 games. Don't turn it over, and we've got ourselves a solid chance of winning. On the defensive side of the ball, we have to stop the run. If we can't do that, it's over. This is where the loss of LB Cole Holcomb is HUGE. Jamin Davis and David Mayo are going to have to step up, especially if Landon Collins can't go (he had 2 turnovers himself on Tuesday). Stop the run, and then slow down the daunted Dallas Cowboys passing attack. A tall order, but it must be done if we want to keep our slim playoff hopes alive. Speaking of playoff hopes, how's the NFC playoff race looking? If we win out, what are our chances? Amit and KDot discuss. As always, we have predictions on the show. Who wins this Sunday Night showdown? KDot and Amit provide you with their picks.
