In one of the most entertaining matches in the 2018 USL regular season, Lights FC dropped a 6-4 decision on the road to OKC Energy FC on a night filled with "what ifs" for the visiting club. However, in the process, some Lights FC history was made, as midseason signee Raul Mendiola helped lead a wild second half rally for the club, chipping in with three goals for the first Hat Trick in franchise history. The three tallies gave Mendiola, a former member of Major League Soccer's LA Galaxy, five goals in the club's last three matches. Las Vegas Lights FC now stays on the road for another Western Conference showdown, 72 hours later at 5:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, July 14, at Rio Grande Valley Toros FC.
