Naomi Osaka Responds to Being Sued By Childhood Coach

Naomi Osaka’s Februrary consisted of problems with her former coach Sascha Bajin as she garnered a lot of attention for that split. While its seems as if that coaching story is over, a new one has just emerged as today numerous reports from new sites such as BleacherReport and TMZ have announced that the Japanese star and her family are being sued at least $2 million by her old coach Christophe Jean. Jean is suing because Osaka’s father Leonard Francois had a deal with Jean that because Leonard couldn’t afford the lessons at the time, he would receive 20% of Naomi and her sister Mari’s tennis prize money and endorsement deals for the remainder of their career. While this may sound absurd, Jean says he actually has a copy of the contract where Osaka’s father agrees the deal is indefinite.
