Dulwich had earned their first win of the season last time out, but would ultimately not be able to build on that against title-favourites Billericay. The two sides traded chances in the first half, Dumebi Dumaka, Nyren Clunis and Ibrahim Kargbo for Dulwich, whilst Rob Swaine and Jermaine Pennant forced Preston Edwards into saves at the other end. Just when it seemed it would be goalless at the break, Billericay went ahead when last season's top scorer Billy Bricknell was played in, and he coolly finished under Edwards. As the game went into injury time, Dulwich responded with a goal of their own, Ashley Carew converting a penalty after Gavin Tomlin was brought down. The visitors were the dominant side after the interval, as Marc Weatherstone and Carew both produced goal line clearances. The decisive moment in the game came with 18 minutes to go, as a handball from Nana Boakye-Yiadom gave Bricknell the chance to score his second from the penalty spot, which he duly did. The points were secured in outstanding fashion when Jake Robinson scored from inside his own half, a fitting way to end an entertaining afternoon of football. Dulwich now have a week off before they travel to Leiston next Saturday.
