The Minnesota Wild defeated the Golden Knights 4-2 in Game 5 to extend this series to Game 6. Cam Talbot was strong again tonight, making 38-40 saves. After scoring the first goal, Vegas gave up three Wild goals in a span of 7 minutes. After being down 3-1 after the first period, Vegas scored on the Powerplay in the second period. Although the Knights outshot the Wild 22-1 in the second period, Minnesota was still up 3-2. Sturm closed out the game with an empty-net goal, and the Wild defeated the Knights 4-2.
