What's Up YouTube, On The Get Up with Mike Greenberg he discusses The Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid. Apparently, Joel Embiid called his coach on game day and reported he was too sick to play. I know things happen, and people get sick, but come on! All Joel Embiid has to do is play basketball for around three hours then he is done. Joel can't suck it up and play a game that he is paid millions of dollars to play? He can't play in a playoff game, where he might have the chance to make it to the next round? There are people that work minimum wage jobs that are probably sicker than Joel, and they still go to work, and work overtime! Joel Embiid wound up playing, but that is not the point. Just for him to make that call makes me question how tough he is and how much he wants to win. You know he has called out before. If I was his teammate I would be mad at him for being selfish. James Harden had his face Tiger clawed, and almost lost both eyes, but he's still playing! Stephen Curry had a dislocated finger, and he is still playing. Like I said before, I know people get sick and you can't make it. But, something tells me Joel was not a deathbed kind of sick, which is what I would be expecting if I was his coach.
