Two decisions Mauricio Pochettino may regret from Tottenham's draw with PSV. Hugo Lloris made a big mistake but manager Mauricio Pochettino may have regrets of his own. Tottenham needed a win away to PSV Eindhoven last night and could only leave Holland with a draw. A red card for Hugo Lloris was the turning point as Tottenham led a 2-1 lead slip for the game to finish 2-2. Lloris was directly at fault, but manager Mauricio Pochettino may have his regrets too. There were two questionable decisions made by the manager which do not relate to the goalkeeping position. The first was the decision to select Argentine attacker Erik Lamela on the bench. Lamela is in the best form of his career and scored the winner away to West Ham on Saturday. Leaving him out for such a key game was a surprise decision and Tottenham are left to rue what might have been. The second odd choice was his move to bring on Harry Winks to try and close out the game. The scenario was made for midfield destroyer Victor Wanyama, who was left as an unused substitute. Wanyama seems out of favour, having been used inconsistently all year. Last night provided a moment when he should have been used, and once Spurs were reduced to 10 men five minutes after Winks came on, it became harder for the England star to control the pace of the game.
