Yussuf Poulsen doubled the lead in the 59th minute. But Russia managed to knock one back thanks to Artem Dzyuba's penalty. After that, it was the Danes who flew away with the win as they scored two more goals to take their tally to four goals. Christensen scored in the 79th minute and Joakim Mæhle scored in the 82nd minute. The match ended 1-4 to Denmark. Ukraine were outclassed by Austria in a 0-1 defeat at the Arena Naţională. In an especially poor outing for the Men In Yellow, misplaced passes and poor shots were a common sight for Andriy Shevchenko's men. Austria themselves could not take much advantage of Ukraine's poor form as they managed to score just one goal. Christoph Baumgartner was the goalscorer for the Austrians.
