Extended highlights as Bristol City struck early but lost out to a battling Brentford at a chilly West London. Zak Vyner put the Robins ahead in a first half where they impressed under the Brentford Community Stadium lights. But the Bees were level at half-time when Sergi Canos turned home, before they turned the tie in the second half. On the 50th minute mark Ivan Toney steered the ball past Dan Bentley, before Saman Ghoddos pounced after hitting the post as Thomas Frank’s side went 3-1 ahead. Dean Holden’s side wouldn’t give up and closed the gap when substitute Nahki Wells scored in stoppage time, but it was too late as City stay ninth in the Sky Bet Championship table.
