'4골 폭발' 한국, 7년7개월 만에 일본 격파…통쾌한 '도쿄대첩' South Korea have defended the regional East Asian football title, after a stunning 4-1 win over arch-rivals Japan in Tokyo on Saturday. The Taeguk Warriors started off nervously, going 1-nil down in the second minute after giving away a careless penalty. But then they worked their way back with three goals in the first half, with the towering 6-foot-4 striker, Kim Shin-wook, scoring twice, to help clinch the East Asian Football Federation E-1 Football Championship, formerly known as the East Asian Cup. Coach Shin Tae-yong said it was a good result, especially after going a goal down, but added there were still many things to improve before next year's World Cup. North Korea won the equivalent women's title for the third time in a row on Friday, again beating Japan 2-nil in the final game.
