What NBA Players Are ACTUALLY Saying About Kelly Oubre Jr.! (Golden State Warriors)

Kelly Oubre Jr. has been in the NBA for 6 seasons now. He had a breakout season with the Phoenix Suns, but eventually, he was traded away to the Oklahoma City Thunder and eventually started the season with the Golden State Warriors. You might think that with these numbers he would have stayed with the Suns, but no. This is his third team in 5 years, and is in recent trade talks this 2021 season. He might stay with the Golden state Warriors after the trade deadline. Or, he might get traded prior to this video being uploaded. In this video, we’re going to deep-dive into What NBA Players Are actually Saying About Kelly Oubre Jr., what they’re saying about what the future holds for him, and we will also figure out if his recent trade rumors are of some significance. Oh yea and Make sure to watch it till the end where a soon to be Hall of Famer chimed in on what he thought about Kelly Oubre Jr... On the outside looking in, the Phoenix Suns looked like a respectable franchise, one that had potential, with Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton as cornerstones for the franchise, and Kelly Oubre as that three and D guy to round out their future. However, in an interview with 95.7 The Game’s “Damon, Ratto & Kolsky” in San Francisco, Kelly was asked about his experience with the Suns, after finding out he got traded to the Warriors. Clearly, Kelly had some mixed feelings about it all ended with the Phoenix Suns, despite experiencing his break out season there. And you’ll get a better understanding about the franchise from an interview he had after the bubble. But for now, Let’s get straight to the list… 1. Pandemic P...My bad Paul George Oubre was interviewed in ESPN’s The Jump before the all star festivities in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was asked by Zach Lowe, a NBA senior analyst, and podcaster for the Lowe Post. If you’re in a competitive sport, there will always be moments like this, where you express yourself to edge out an opponent, and that’s what I like about Kelly. 2. Steve Kerr After the game against the loss to the Phoenix Suns on the 29th of January. Steve Kerr addressed the media about the Kelly Oubre trade rumors. Here’s what he had to say. A reporter asked, “Steve obviously the trade rumors regarding Kelly circulated yesterday took a lot of headlines. Did you talk to Kelly about that at all? And how big of a factor do you think that played in his game?” “Yeah I talked to him about it. It’s unfortunate, the team called us and asked about Kelly. I mean this is sort of the modern NBA with social media. I tell the players all the time. You could tell from the statement of Steve Kerr that he felt for Kelly. 3. Draymond Green Draymond Green is very vocal on the floor, he’s the engine for these Warriors. If the team is losing, most likely Green didn’t have a good game or was not a vocal leader for them. On the other hand if they win, you will know if Draymond had an imprint on the game. When they blew out the Sacramento Kings back on January 4th, he had this stat line: 5 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 50% from the three point line. Regular numbers to some, but these numbers for Green make the Warriors hard to beat. “He's been fantastic. Watching Kelly over the years, that's who he is. 4. Richard Jefferson & Paul Pierce Remember that Warriors vs Lakers game where they came back from a 19-point deficit to win the game? That was their second largest comeback for the season. The first was against the Clippers on Jan 8, winning 22 points. Looks like the Warriors got some added motivation playing against the Los Angeles teams who are considered to be the favorites in the Western Conference. The crew on ESPN's The Jump broke down what those wins mean for the Warriors. “Let’s say Klay is playing, that’s a 10-3 team right? Paul commented back by saying, “I really believe that the key to this team is Kelly Oubre. Because you know what Steph is going to give you, Draymond, and Wiggins is starting to be consistent. If Kelly can give them consistent numbers between 15 to 18 points a night. Those two make a lot of sense if these Warriors were healthy they could be a top seed in the Western Conference. Whether or not Kelly gets traded this year, I want to see him succeed in the NBA. I feel like he hasn’t had that much exposure because he played for mediocre teams. Now, he just needs to play his game, and cancel out all the noise.
